I'm Candice Lemaster, creator of The Relational Alchemy Method™. For nearly two decades, I've been fascinated by the ways relationships reveal the deeper patterns that shape our lives.

The Story Behind the Method

After years of working with individuals and couples, I began noticing something that extended beyond any single therapeutic approach.

People weren't simply struggling in their relationships.

They were struggling with the unconscious ways they had learned to experience relationship itself.

The same fears, protective strategies, attachment wounds, and relational habits would emerge again and again - regardless of whether someone was single, dating, partnered, or healing from loss.

Eventually, one question began shaping everything else.

Rather than focusing solely on how to improve relationships, what if we first understood the patterns creating them?

Over time, that question gave rise to what is now The Relational Alchemy Method™ - a developmental framework that explores how relationships become the catalyst for awareness, healing, and conscious connection.

My hope is that this work helps people move beyond simply managing conflict or seeking the "right" relationship. Instead, I hope it invites them to become more conscious participants in the relationships they create - with others and with themselves.

The more I paid attention, the more I realized relationship wasn't simply something we experience; it was one of the primary ways we come to know ourselves.

The questions that shaped this work continue to shape me.

I don't imagine they will ever be fully answered.

And perhaps that's what keeps the work alive.

Some of the voices that have shaped this work

Relational Alchemy has been influenced by many disciplines and teachers, including attachment theory, trauma-informed psychology, contemplative practice, nervous system science, Eastern philosophy, and decades of clinical experience.

Among those whose work has deeply influenced my own are Carl Jung, Thich Nhat Hanh, Ram Dass, Eckhart Tolle, Gabor Maté, Dan Siegel, Stephen Porges, Richard Schwartz, and many others.

This Method is not a collection of their ideas.

It is an attempt to weave those insights into a coherent way of understanding ourselves through relationship.

The Work Continues

Relational Alchemy is still unfolding.

Every client, every conversation, every essay, and every relationship continues to deepen my understanding of what becomes possible when awareness meets connection.

I don't see this Method as something finished.

I see it as a lifelong exploration.

And I'm grateful you're here to explore it with me.
